You will come across websites that have testimonials and claims from 'satisfied clients'. But this approach doesn't feel right for me and many other genuine and professional psychotherapists - because this work does not set out to make you 'satisfied' or with the intention of boosting my online profile. Furthermore, it could break client confidentiality if the comments were to be listed in a way which complied with the law because they need to be linked to the person making them. And finally, what do these comments from 'satisfied clients' even mean about my professionalism and standards, the way in which I genuinely help people break free from pain and suffering, and ultimately work with them so that they find ways to experience more happiness in their day-to-day.
